Chandler has become a magnet for both young families and high-tech manufacturing firms.

There are currently two large major Intel® campus locations in the Chandler and Ocotillo communities, and two smaller satellite offices in Chandler as well.

Operations in Arizona include the Computing Enhancement Group, Home Products Lab, Intel® Architecture Products Group, Validation / Compatibility Lab, Arizona Development Center, Corporate Materials and Services, Fab 6 and Fab 12.

Products manufactured in Arizona include the Pentium®, Pentium® II and Pentium® III processors, and embedded controllers used in cars, printers, hard disk drives, and other products found in the home and office. Intel® is Chandler's largest employer, and one of the most significant employers in the state. Intel® has over 9,500 employees in Arizona.

Intel® believes in the value of education and implements a wide variety of education-related programs that promote science, math, engineering and technology in the schools in Arizona. These programs assist in developing the workforce of the future and promoting educational opportunities among females and minorities. Intel® invests over $100 million per year into these educational programs.

Intel® also sponsors many community events and programs. Earthfest and Valley Forward - Intel® was a title sponsor and exhibitor at the Earthfest '99 Expo, which offered 5,000 valley students the opportunity to participate in a youth conference and environmental exhibition at the Phoenix Civic Plaza. National Engineers and Technicians Week - In 1999, more than 31,000 K-12 students were impacted by 381 Intel® volunteers who visited schools to help students understand how math, science and engineering relate to the world around them. Similar programs are ongoing with Intel® and its many volunteers, who are in schools and sponsoring local events on a monthly basis.

Additionally, Intel® supports a variety of local agencies through volunteer involvement and donations. Over the years, through the Intel® Involved program, thousands of Intel® Arizona employees have donated more than 100,000 hours of their time to meet community needs. Through education-related programs, community clean-up projects and assistance to not-for-profit agencies, Intel® in Arizona has contributed more than $10 million in monetary, time and equipment donations.
